This book is definitely written for a younger audience, or a new fan to Star Wars. In much the same way that the Character Encyclopedia has been laid out, this book follows the same simple & easy to read formula. Sadly, not every ship or vehicle is included in this encyclopedia. Despite some omissions, the book covers a lot of the major vehicles from Clone Wars, to Rebels, and the major movies; Vehicles from the new Solo film do not appear in this book.The book categorizes the vehicles into chapters titled Air, Land, Water, and Space. This is a nice way to find what you're looking for, if you need to find a quick reference. The book has a Data File in a cartouche that breaks down specific information into Type, Manufacturer, Speed, Model, Length, and Weapons. Some pages will alternate Length with Height, and space vehicles will display Hyperdrive (and which class it uses).As suggested by the publisher, this book is probably bet suited for ages 8-12. Veterans of Star Wars will find detailed information on everything sorely lacking in most regards. However, I think this books fits a a primer for beginners into the Star Wars franchise. I like the book, and it's certainly a book I'd recommend for younger audiences.

I would have given it 5 stars if the book had every single ship and other vehicles covered. it's missing a lot and it's a good thing i collected the books on ships over the years. It doesn't even cover half of them. In fact there are several missing. Only seems to cover what's in the movies and clone wars. I would like to see a book that covers everything. It's sad that they don't recognize the older ships. Over all I'm thrilled to have a book with the updated material from rogue one and from 8.

I was thrilled at this compilation. Might have liked more than a page per starship, the others are fine at a single page, but get it.I was excited to see the Starships from the Last Jedi, even though they spiralled backwards out of gas.Well the command cruiser was there. But not the refitted Nebulon C or the CEC Missile Corvette. What a waste. Not I have to do what... copy those single stills in from the visual encylopedia? Right... that means they HAD the Art and KNEW the ships were there. Now its going to look like a warhammer 40K codex with all the stuff they left our cut and pasted in... or the Star Trek Starship Finder which was missing obvious starships like the Oberth class.

Star Wars : Encyclopedia of Starships and Other Vehicles is a fantastic visual trek through all the Star Wars Feature Films including Rogue One, Solo A Star Wars Story and even the Animated series Star Wars Rebels. This Beautiful Hardcover edition is filled with 206 pages of wonder, all of the Star Wars Vehicles and ships are clearly detailed and cataloged including information on the type, manufacturer, speed, model, length, hyperdrive and weapons. All types and varieties are featured in this highly stylized book. Most all of it in full color and some black and white. This is an outstanding book and a definite must have for any Star Wars Fan or Avid Collector. You'll really want this book.

Produced for a younger audience but a decent survey of vehicles from the Star Wars universe. A bargain at $10. Only 4 stars for the brevity (one page only) for each vehicle. It is interesting to see how old Expanded Universe (now 'Legends') vehicles have been brought in at different points along the way, no Dash Rendar but the Outrider is in here for all intents and purposes as the YT-2400 for instance. The OT and Prequel vehicles are still inspiring, not much to say about the sequel-era vehicles. Would recommend to fellow Star Wars fans.

Any book from DK is always welcome in my Star Wars library, and this one is no exception. Similar in format to their other encyclopedias and Visual Guides, this book is an educational and easy read. I would not classify it for younger readers only, however. I don't think the DK guides are written in a simple or juvenile manner. There is a lot of technical and in-universe information contained per page about each vehicle. I would definitely recommend this book specifically for fans of The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. There are a LOT of entries from those two series; it almost seems like more than from the feature movies!

It’s decent book as far as the amount of ships and vehicles is concerned. I would have preferred if it had more information on each entry like the Visual Guides made for Movies. I think the formatting is more kid centric then I would like. Great for kids though.

Tokyo Disney should have Pirates of the South Seas, Chushingura and Sekigahara in miniature to allow Communism to work together.
